Walk and Talk Coaching

Coaching sessions that happen side by side, outdoors, moving through the Chilterns countryside around Chesham and Amersham. For many people, it's simply easier to talk while walking.

Why walking works

Supporting you through grief with walk and talk coaching sessions - Gabrielle D Coaching Amersham and Chesham

There's something about walking that softens conversation. No desk, no chair facing yours, no pressure of eye contact — just two people moving in the same direction. For some, that makes the hardest things easier to say out loud.

Being outdoors does its own quiet work too. Fresh air, open space, and the steady rhythm of walking can settle an overwhelmed mind in a way four walls sometimes can't. Movement, nature and conversation together — it's a gentler way in.

How sessions work

Walk and Talk is available within both grief coaching and emotional transition coaching — same support, different setting. We meet at an agreed spot near Chesham or Amersham and walk routes chosen for quiet and privacy, at whatever pace suits you. Sessions can be a mix of walking and sitting; some of the best conversations happen on a bench.

A few practical things:

  • confidentiality is thought through — routes are chosen to be quiet, and we simply pause conversation if we pass others

  • weather has a plan B: if it's truly grim, we switch to an indoor or online session at no fuss

  • no fitness required — this is a stroll, not a hike, and routes can be as flat and short as you need

Is it right for you?

Walk and Talk tends to suit people who feel restless sitting still, find face-to-face intensity difficult, or simply feel more themselves outdoors. It's entirely optional — some clients mix walking and indoor sessions, others choose one and stay with it. From £90 per session, as with all 1:1 coaching.
