Grief Coaching

Support for living with loss — whether it's recent or long ago, and whatever shape your grief takes. Based in Chesham, working with people across Amersham, the surrounding villages and online.

What is Grief Coaching?

Grief coaching is support for living alongside loss — not therapy, and not about "getting over" anything. Where counselling often looks back at the roots of pain, coaching works with where you are now: making sense of what you're carrying, finding steadier ground, and slowly rebuilding a life that still holds your loss with care.

Grief isn't always connected to bereavement, and it isn't always linear. Sometimes it lives in the gap between the life you imagined and the life you're living. Coaching gives it room, without rushing you anywhere.

My Approach

I don't believe people need fixing, or forcing through change. My approach is calm, trauma-informed and supportive — a space to slow down, make sense of what you're carrying, and begin rebuilding in a way that feels true to you.

Together, we may explore:

  • identity shifts and grief

  • emotional patterns and internal narratives

  • reconnecting with the parts of yourself that feel lost or disconnected

Who benefits from this?

You may be navigating:

  • a recent bereavement, or a loss from years ago that still feels present

  • grief that others seem to think you should be "over" by now

  • loss that isn't a death — a relationship, a role, a version of your life

  • the feeling that life no longer looks how you imagined

  • struggling with grief while holding everything else together

What to expect

Sessions combine reflective coaching, emotional processing and structured, CBT-informed tools where appropriate — always at a pace that feels supportive and manageable. There's no set number of sessions and no pressure to be anywhere other than where you are.
